So, yay. A new blog! A new name! (Sorry, friends, it’s about as original as I could get. It was also probably the nickname for a million “Kellys” as they grew up, but whatever). I have arrived!!! So… now what? I suppose I start writing again. If you could call what I do on these blogs “writing.” But that’s another topic entirely.
I think it probably took me way too long to get this blog set up. Just figuring out how to get my Flickr photos to post in the sidebar thingy (See? I know the lingo!) took for-EVER. Then trying to pick out a theme and see which ones could have a customizable header. Then seeing which ones didn’t look like ass with my header. Which, incidentally, is really nothing but a picture of jellybeans. God, I amaze myself with my cleverness. Call myself Kellybeans, then add a picture of Jellybeans. Nothing short of genius, I tell you!
I still have a bunch of stuff left to do… like maybe add some more pages of interesting stuff, and add tags/categories, etc. I’m going to try to keep it simple though. Any suggestions for stuff I should add?
Is there a way to import my archives from my old blog? Like I said, I’m clueless about this crap.
Also, I’m still working on my blogroll. If you’d like to be added to it, please leave a comment and I’ll add you!
I guess that’s about it, and yes, this will count as my NaBloPoMo post of the day. I am lazy, thankyouverymuch. I promise better stuff when you come back next time!

hey kelly. i’ve been reading your blog for a while now and would love to be added to your blogroll. you can import your archives from blogger. if you go to your manage screen you can click on import and then on blogger and it should automatically import them.

I love the new site!!! I know nothing about importing old posts or, really, anything technological, but as long as you continue to post photos of your son dressed as crustaceans, the people will be happy.

Congrats on the new site! It’s liberating to be free of Blogger, isn’t it? I did the big move to TypePad last year and couldn’t be happier.
If you search WordPress’s help section, I’m sure they have instructions on how to move your archives over. That’s easy. It’s fixing the broken text and photo links that’s a pain in the @$$!

There is a way to import from Blogger. I can’t remember as I moved to WordPress a while ago. I’ll see if I can figure it out.

As someone with the same name, I use to HATE having anything rhyming with my name attached to it. But, “Kellybeans” is cute

Hi, Kelly! Welcome to WP! Importing from Blogger is super easy, thank goodness.
In your WP Dashboard, go to the Manage tab and then Import. Click Blogger, then the Magic Button, and you should be good to go. It’s like magic.
I’d love to have a place on your blogroll, but I’m more of a lurker, so it’s no big deal.

I like the new name! I think it’s really cute. I’ve been wanting to customize the header thing on Blogger for a while. Maybe I’ll jump ship too. You’ll have to let us know how you end up liking WordPress.
