drastic measures

November 24, 2007

Yes.  That’s a crib in my bedroom.  A crib that should be in the nursery.  However, thanks to a certain child who seems to hate being alone at night and hates the crib, we had to resort to this.  I love this baby, but I need him to get the hang of sleeping through the night.  Until he does, this is what I suppose our bedroom is gonna look like.

I’m jealous that you have a big enough bedroom to accommodate a crib in the first place! Luke and I will have the baby with us for the first few months, in a bassinet that fits nicely in the small space we have, but there’s no way we could cram a crib in there.

I’m sorry. No, seriously. I am. I was blessed with a child who slept in her own crib from the night we brought her home. A child who, starting around 4 months, slept through the night. A child who, at 22 months now, sleeps from 9pm until 8 or 8:30 am and naps from 1 to 4 each afternoon. I can’t imagine having to go through what you guys are.

Maybe what you’re doing is what will help him get over his fear of whatever. I hope.

    Good luck, girly :)

Well, at least he will be in his own crib! That’s good. I hope it gets better for you.

Is that his little head I see in the bed?

I’m sure he’ll work out his own sleeping schedule soon - and for now, look what a gorgeous face you (and he!) will wake up to in the morning!

we’re having the same problem. Our little man slept through the night from about 8 weeks until 3.5 months. Now he wakes up during the night…we were spoiled from having him sleep so well at the begining that its taking a toll on us now. I’m not sure we’ll put the crib in our room, but I know how you feel!
